(An Advanced Oxidizing Formula for Ultimate Farm Hygiene)

Modern poultry farming demands uncompromising hygiene and disease prevention. ViraRid-S is an advanced biosecurity formulation, based on Potassium Mono-persulphate Triple Salt, a powerful oxidizing compound proven for rapid and broad-spectrum disinfection. The unique blend of Potassium Mono-persulphate, Potassium Hydrogen Sulphate, and Potassium Sulphate, supported by Sodium Chloride, organic acids, surfactants, and a buffer system, ensures effective microbial control while maintaining safety and stability. It acts swiftly against a wide range of pathogenic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores, ensuring a cleaner and safer poultry environment for optimal performance and productivity.

Mode of action

The Triple Salt Potassium Mono-persulphate system works through an oxidative mechanism:

  • Upon activation, it releases active oxygen radicals that destroy the cell walls and membranes of microorganisms.
  • The oxidative process denatures enzymes and proteins, disrupting essential metabolic activities and rendering pathogens inactive.
  • Surfactants enhance the contact and spread of the disinfectant over all surfaces, ensuring uniform coverage and deeper cleaning.
  • Organic acids and buffering agents maintain an optimal pH for maximum oxidizing efficiency and product stability. This combined action guarantees rapid, long-lasting disinfection even in the presence of organic matter or hard water.

Indications

  • Farm and shed disinfection to control microbial load
  • Hatchery and incubator sanitation for contamination-free hatching
  • Footbath and entryway biosecurity to prevent cross-infection
  • Vehicle, equipment, and utensil disinfection
  • Waterline and storage tank sanitization
  • Processing and packaging area hygiene maintenance

Benefits

  • Broad-Spectrum Action – Effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores
  • Fast Acting & Long Lasting – Provides quick kill with extended residual effect
  • Works in Organic Load – Maintains activity even in dirty conditions
  • Safe & Stable – Non-corrosive at recommended dilutions
  • Eco-Friendly – Breaks down into non-toxic residues
  • Comprehensive Biosecurity – Reduces disease transmission and improves flock health

  • Continuous water sanitation – 1 gm litre of water (1:1000 or 0.1%) – Add to the tank.
  • Terminal cleanout (in Poultry) – 5 gm litre of water (1:200 or 0.5%) – Add to the overhead or sub tank, allow to fill the drinking system, leave for at least 1 hour, then flush through with clean water.

Spray

  • Aerial spray – 5 gm litre of water (1:200 or 0.5%) – As a fine spray @ 1 liter per 10 sq. meter floor space
  • Cold fogging – 10 gm litre of water (1:100 or 1%) – As a fine spray @ 1 liter per 10 sq. meter floor space
  • Thermal fogging – 40 gm litre of water (1:25 or 4%) – As a fine spray @ 1 liter per 40 sq. meter floor space
  • Terminal disinfection spray – 10 gm litre of water (1:100 or 1%) – As a low-pressure fine spray @ 300 ml/sq. meter floor space.
