💊 Innovative Formulations for Livestock & Poultry Health

(Sulphamethoxazole 10% + Trimethoprim 2%Veterinary Water-dispersible Oral Powder I.P)

BraudPrim is a water-dispersible antibiotic formulation is a highly effective broad-spectrum antibacterial combination designed specifically for poultry health management. It contains Sulphamethoxazole 10% I.P. synergistically potentiated with Trimethoprim 2% w/w, ensuring superior therapeutic efficacy.

The Sulphamethoxazole-Trimethoprim combination is well established for its synergistic antibacterial action. Sulphamethoxazole, a sulphonamide, acts by inhibiting folic acid synthesis at the dihydropteroate synthetase level, while Trimethoprim inhibits dihydrofolate reductase. This sequential blockade of folic acid metabolism results in powerful bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.

  • Provides synergistic action leading to higher efficacy than either drug alone.
  • Exhibits rapid onset with longer-lasting effect in systemic and intestinal infections.
  • Shows excellent results in respiratory, enteric, and urinary tract infections of poultry.
  • Reduces chances of bacterial resistance development due to dual-site action.

Spectrum & Action

  • Broad-spectrum coverage against E. coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, and Clostridia.
  • Effective in controlling respiratory infections (CRD, CCRD), enteric infections (colibacillosis, salmonellosis), and septicaemic conditions.
